(August 28) After the closing of our time in Paris, I hopped on a train to Cergy Préfecture with all my stuff. The first day was a bit gloomy and oppressive, compared to the feeling of waltzing around paris for a week. The city is very strange, without much of a sense of identity. The bright spot of the day was meeting everyone that I’d be working alongside for the next month.
Portrayed here is the Great Axis (a continuation of the great La Défense axis and a significant mark in the city) and its surroundings. What looks like a city hall square is actually an apartment complex; very unfamiliar.
my name is marina and this log is the documentation of my traveling from july to october 2010, during which i studied arts and design in london; urban design in france; wrapped up the trip with a visit to the venice architecture biennale and came home to brazil.
