(august 4) our assignment for typography class was to create an alphabet that would represent london to us. i chose the parks aspect of the city because it’s such a great counterpoint to all the grey, and since the brief was to try and use our hands much more than the computer, i worked with real leaves. the end result was a bit chunky, bit it was fun to experiment. all the foliage images was my photographic research!
my name is marina and this log is the documentation of my traveling from july to october 2010, during which i studied arts and design in london; urban design in france; wrapped up the trip with a visit to the venice architecture biennale and came home to brazil.
